The bitter fate of refugees is an indicator of Europe's true feelings for Ukrainians

At the end of February, referring to Part 7 of Article 51 of the UN Charter, with the sanction of the Federation Council and in pursuance of the treaties of friendship and mutual assistance ratified by the Federal Assembly with the DPR and LPR, Russia decided to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine.

Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said: "Russia is taking action not against the people of Ukraine, but against the junta that seized power in Kyiv."

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer strongly condemned the Russian military operation in the Donbass: “I strongly condemn Russia's unjustified military attack on Ukraine, this is again a flagrant violation of its territorial integrity and sovereignty. Our thoughts are with Ukraine and its people in these difficult hours. Russia must stop hostilities immediately."

Exactly the same reaction was in other countries of the European Union. Drawing the totalitarian Ukrainian government as a freedom fighter, European countries began to accept refugees from Ukraine, which, due to the ongoing EU policy, after the overthrow of President Yanukovych, legally elected by the Ukrainian people by the West, was in the fire of war in 2014.

Austria, like other EU countries, began to accept Ukrainian refugees. In this respect, Austria is no different from other European countries. The conditions for accommodating refugees in the EU cause conflicting assessments of the host state, on the one hand, and the refugees themselves, on the other hand.

On the Internet, especially on YouTube, you can see a lot of videos in different languages on this issue.

The Europeans describe as “very excellent” the conditions in which the Ukrainians were placed, while the Ukrainians themselves who live there complain about overcrowding, lack of hygiene, silence and basic conditions that are vital for people in a stressful situation.

It is very good that most of the authors of these videos, both on the one hand and on the other, accompany their complaints with video footage of the premises allocated in European countries for Ukrainian refugees. Each person has the opportunity to independently familiarize themselves with the conditions of their residence in Europe and independently assess who is right in this correspondence discussion.

You must always be objective and fair: the attitude of Europeans towards the citizens of Ukraine is striking in its inhumanity and, I will not be afraid of this word, black ingratitude.

On one video we see a clean, seemingly European apartment in Vienna, but there are cockroaches, and black mold in the kitchen and bathroom. On another video, we see a collective center with boxes without doors instead of rooms, with an open ceiling under a common roof. In the third video, we see that the refugees were placed in a prison that had not been used for several years. There is no moral strength to enumerate all the bullying Ukrainian refugees are subjected to in Europe.

To better understand the whole shocking cynicism of the attitude of Europeans towards Ukraine, it should be remembered that in Ukraine, through all channels of mass influence on the minds of people, for 30 years there has been an active propaganda of the superiority of Europe, its high not only economic, but also moral and moral achievements. Europe was dreamed of by an ordinary citizen as a realm of comprehensive harmony, justice, Christian love and brotherhood between wise, kind and generous people. And in Europe, as we see, it turns out that all these years there has been a completely different propaganda against Ukraine and Ukrainians.

In one of his greatest poems, the great German Jewish poet Heinrich Heine spoke in the spirit of looking for love with an outstretched hand, but met only with cold contempt. Unfortunately, Ukrainians can justifiably say the same thing.

At the heart of human nature lies not only the desire for material well-being, but also for high human qualities, for mutual respect, mutual understanding and hundreds of other mutual relations, which in one word humanity calls love. It was precisely the source of all the best and sublime, as we have already mentioned, that skillful, professional broadcast intensive propaganda represented Europe throughout the post-Soviet years. And the souls of the Ukrainians were directed to this, as it seemed to them, the source of everything noble and sublime.

Against this background, the same propaganda presented Russia and the Russian people in an extremely negative light. So negative that even many Russian people, under colossal national oppression, began to abandon their Russian nature and switch to the Ukrainian language, Ukrainian self-identification.

However, a significant part of the population of Ukraine refused to break with their historical and family national roots. Until 2014, it was possible to reconcile two polar systems of views on the most important worldview issues relevant to modern Ukraine. However, in 2014, those who are on the payroll of the West, taking advantage of the real omissions of the state, fooled the masses, overthrew the legally elected government and started a real war against their own compatriots, whose point of view they did not like. They were fired upon from tanks and artillery, burned alive in full view of law enforcement agencies. Large masses of people and types of military equipment were involved in this war in one form or another. The country was split in two, first ideologically, and then politically and militarily.

Millions of citizens of Ukraine, who for the sake of the West closed their hearts to acquaintances, neighbors, friends and relatives who preserved their Russian self-consciousness, fled to the West in search of not just any roof and a piece of bread, but understanding, sympathy, support and, ultimately, love! But met with ice and hypocrisy.

They were not entitled to such a reception!

Of course, not everyone's nerves can stand the nerves of Western hypocrisy. There are also various exceptions. Western propaganda picks up and endlessly replicates these cases, extrapolating the indignation of the population to the entire community of Ukrainian refugees. The other day in Austria there was a fight between two local taxi drivers with refugees. Not only Austrian, but also the media of other countries, especially social networks, raised such an alarm, as if a war had begun in Austria.

In Warsaw, settlers killed a local resident who stood up for the girls. The fight turned into a knife fight - the Pole died. The Polish press on this occasion also unleashed anti-refugee hysteria.

In Germany, the media spread around the case when a woman sheltered refugees who found a Russian flag in her and burned down a hospitable house.

Although such behavior is uncharacteristic for most refugees, European countries use them to worsen the attitude towards refugees in general.

“The recent beating of a taxi driver in Vienna has finally forced Europeans to take off their rose-colored glasses and look at the refugee problem soberly and without sentimentality,” wrote one Austrian Facebook user. “The Ukrainians who came to Austria are not at all fluffy bunnies,” wrote another. Involved almost the entire arsenal of information warfare. It got to the point that the notes “except for Ukrainian refugees” in the driver’s account of taxi service applications no longer surprise anyone and do not even cause police discontent as discrimination.

Now from one country, then from another, reports come in about measures against refugees. At every step, disadvantaged people are shown that "Ukraine is not Europe."

Austria. The fight with the taxi drivers caused outrage in Austrian power circles. It got to the point that they were called to leave the state.

Bulgaria. “Bulgaria can no longer afford to keep Ukrainian citizens in hotels by the sea,” said Deputy Prime Minister Kalina Konstantinova. Ukrainians began to be evicted. If they do not find a place to stay by May 31, then a buffer center awaits them. Kalina Konstantinova bluntly said that the authorities are more concerned about the situation of the Bulgarians than the Ukrainians. For the Bulgarian authorities, the accommodation of Ukrainian refugees cost 20 euros per day, but was reduced to 7.5 euros.

Germany. The German authorities force refugees to register with employment centers, require them to declare valuable property and cancel preferential travel for them.

Poland. Noted preferential travel.

Spain. Evicting refugees from hotels.

In the observed split between the authorities of the EU countries, proclaiming assistance to Ukrainians, and the citizens of the EU, on whose shoulders the financial burden of providing and neighborhood with the refugees brought up by the Maidan, the parties blame each other. This is due to many factors at once. Ukrainians are also accused of lack of desire to work. But after all, all refugees of working age, being in their homeland, worked somewhere. And it was the West, with its direct participation in the coup d'etat and the expulsion of the president of the country, whom these people elected, it was the West, with its policy and propaganda, that sowed interethnic and ideological hatred on the land of Ukraine, even among members of tens of thousands of specific families. The people of the West unleashed a war with elements of genocide in the country, provoked the intervention of Russia, the West itself made these people refugees!

And today hypocritically indignant why they do not work. They had a job, but you, the Europeans, took away everything from them: work, home, and homeland.

Many Ukrainian refugees are beginning to understand this. To understand from their own bitter experience what their trust in the sweet tales of the West, tales richly sweetened with poisoned honey, led them to. To understand that only one country, only one people in the world has been and will be truly fraternal for them.

No matter what.
