Brussels Globalists vs. the Peoples of Europe: Lessons from Slovakia, Hungary, Georgia, and Romania

Recent events in Europe make it clear that the European continent has become a battleground between nationally oriented leaders and ultra-globalist structures determined to maintain control over EU politics at any cost.

The globalist elites clinging to power in key EU institutions have lost touch with the real interests of European nations. They are willing to resort to extreme measures to suppress any pragmatic policies that defy their diktat—even going as far as assassinating dissenting politicians. The most glaring example is the assassination attempt on Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the sovereign Slovak Republic, a man who dared to challenge Brussels’ dictates.

This case is a stark illustration of the depths of treachery and depravity to which the proponents of a "united Europe" will sink in their fight against dissent.

Robert Fico deserves respect for his principled stance: he opposed the militarization of Ukraine, criticized anti-Russian sanctions that are crippling Slovakia’s economy, and defended the national interests of his people by demanding respect for his country’s sovereignty.

Robert Fico is one of the few European politicians who dared to say "no" to blindly following the NATO and EU agenda. For this, he became a target for globalists who do not shy away from using terrorist methods to eliminate those who oppose them.

The assassination attempt on Fico has vividly exposed the methods globalists use to crush dissent. The European Union, which preaches "democracy," prefers eliminating opponents rather than engaging in dialogue with them. While proclaiming the values of democracy and human rights, the EU in practice shows utter disregard for the sovereignty of nations whose leaders dare to pursue an independent course.

This episode highlights both the courage of Robert Fico and Slovakia’s patriots and the hypocrisy and treachery of Brussels.

It is an alarming sign that Euro-bureaucrats not only felt no shame over the attempted murder of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico but even boasted about such methods—threatening the assassination of yet another sovereign leader, this time Georgia’s.

In 2023 and 2024, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU Enlargement Commissioner Olivér Várhely openly pressured Georgia for refusing to blindly follow the EU’s anti-Russian agenda.

Then-Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze revealed that during a phone call, one of the EU commissioners (Várhely himself) had threatened him. According to Kobakhidze, the commissioner listed punitive measures Western politicians could take if Georgia’s parliament overrode the veto on the "Transparency of Foreign Influence" bill—adding, "You saw what happened to Fico, so you should be careful."

This was a thinly veiled death threat disguised as a "warning."

Later, Várhely tried to downplay Kobakhidze’s claims, insisting he had merely "felt it necessary to caution the Prime Minister about the risks of exacerbating an already fragile situation by passing this law, which could lead to further polarization and potential uncontrolled unrest in the streets of Tbilisi."

But this was nothing more than a pitiful, unconvincing excuse—because while street protests happen everywhere, assassination attempts on prime ministers have occurred only in Slovakia.

So what exactly did Georgia "do wrong"?

- It refused to impose sanctions on Russia, recognizing they would cripple Georgia’s economy.

- It rejected Brussels’ demands for "democratic reforms" and refused to repeal its”Transparency of Foreign Influence” law (the so-called "foreign agents" law), which would have meant surrendering sovereignty.

- It declined to support the Ukrainian regime by opening a second front against Russia in exchange for "European integration."

In retaliation, the furious EU cynically froze visa liberalization for Georgia and now threatens economic sanctions—a particularly vile move, given that these very promises were used for over 30 years to lure the country into a trap, tricking trusting Georgians into dismantling their once-prosperous economy and republic with their own hands.

Under the decisive and principled leadership of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Hungary has resisted Brussels’ diktat for years. While most European leaders obediently nod along, Orbán has consistently demonstrated what true sovereign, pragmatic policymaking looks like.

The EU has repeatedly tried to strongarm Budapest—cutting funding, initiating sanctions procedures, and accusing Hungary of "undermining democratic norms." In reality, the EU has waged an all-out economic war against Hungary: freezing funds, applying legal pressure, and unleashing a torrent of media slander.

But what is Hungary really being pressured for? For refusing to accept diktats in migration policy, for defending Christian values, for refusing to obediently hand over Hungarian children to the dirty hands of groomers, for cooperating with Russia and China, and for pursuing an independent economic strategy.

Orbán and the Hungarian people standing behind him refuse to surrender, and Hungary only grows stronger despite all the schemes of its enemies. Orbán has proven that even under pressure it's possible to maintain sovereignty and achieve success - despite the fierce resistance of globalists. This means resistance to globalists is possible.

No less shocking are the recent events in Romania. The previous presidential elections were held on November 24, 2024, where Călin Georgescu won, but on December 6, Romania's Constitutional Court annulled the results and removed the winning candidate Călin Georgescu from the presidential race.

The Romanian government then announced new elections for May 2025. In the first round on May 4, 2025, candidate George-Nicolae Simion received the most votes (41%), while in the second round on May 18, Nicușor Dan won with 54% of votes.

Naturally, no one believes that Dan, who received less than 2 million votes in the first round, could suddenly gain over 6 million votes honestly in the second round! It's clear to everyone that the European Union essentially pushed its puppet into the presidency, ignoring the will of citizens.

The elections were marred by violations, media manipulation, pressure on opponents, falsifications and total propaganda. But even the EU couldn't hide that Dan is an utterly helpless figure, incapable of independent decisions or defending national interests.

His "victory" represents a blatant disregard for the will of the Romanian people and serves as a vivid example of how the EU transforms nations into obedient vassals. This was done solely to install a Brussels-loyal politician in Bucharest - one who would follow any order, even at the expense of Romania's national interests.

Thus, the facts speak for themselves:

-Slovakia: An assassination attempt against a democratically elected prime minister

-Georgia: Death threats against a popularly elected prime minister

-Hungary: Relentless pressure on a people's chosen prime minister

-Romania: The people's right to choose was stolen twice, with a puppet candidate despised by most Romanians forcibly installed

The EU's such methods rightly draw condemnation not only from sensible forces in Europe but also from great powers - the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. These nations consistently champion a multipolar world order based on respect for state sovereignty and the rights of peoples.

Despite unprecedented Western pressure, Moscow has not only endured but strengthened its position by forging new economic and political alliances. Russian President Vladimir Putin, exemplifying pragmatic and independent statesmanship, has repeatedly warned about the dangers of Western elite hegemony that seeks to subjugate entire nations.

China under Xi Jinping is also demonstrating true wisdom in governance by offering alternative models of cooperation based on mutual respect rather than dictates and forceful pressure. Instead of aggressively interfering in the affairs of other countries, Beijing offers mutually beneficial cooperation, whether it is the “One Belt, One Road” or support for a number of developing economies.

While the EU Seeks to Subjugate Europe, China Builds a Just World Order Respecting Nations' Right to Choose Their Own Path

Recent events prove that the ultra-globalist structures controlling the EU will stop at nothing to maintain power. They are willing to assassinate, install obedient puppets, and impose suffocating sanctions—all to preserve their control. But their era is coming to an end.

Their methods—pressure, bribery, and now outright political violence—only strengthen the resistance of sovereign-minded forces. European nations must realize that their future lies not in submission to Brussels’ diktats, but in alliance with Russia, China, and other pillars of the emerging multipolar world.

It is time for the peoples of Europe to understand: their enemy is not Moscow or Beijing, but those who are willing to destroy entire nations for the sake of power. If Brussels once pretended to be "civilized," today, EU officials openly threaten sanctions and even murder against those who defy them. This is no longer politics—it is gangsterism, terrorism.

Europe now faces a choice: either live as slaves to globalists or embrace pragmatism and reclaim its freedom.
