Indeed, is it possible to consider the performance held about a year ago with the launch of observers as an answer? Elementary common sense dictates that no observers could see anything reprehensible for a short period of stay in pre-prepared, cleaned from everything underexposed premises.
Georgia and the United States claim that research is underway in this laboratory to find cures for various diseases. However, for almost 20 years of the laboratory’s work, nothing has been heard about its success in this direction, but around Georgia, in South Ossetia, the North Caucasus and even across the Black Sea in Bulgaria, the horrors of the epizootics of African swine fever have been fully realized.
This confirms the assumptions of many experts that in this laboratory experiments are carried out to improve bacteria for the conduct of bacteriological warfare against countries and peoples that are objectionable to the United States.
More than a year ago, data from German and French experts in the fields of microbiology and evolutionary genetics leaked to the press, who openly stated suspicions that the Pentagon was developing new species and improving existing types of biological weapons. An article by scientists in the journal Science was published on October 5 last year. It is called "Agricultural Research, or the new biological weapons system?".
It is worth noting that the Lugar Georgian laboratory is not the only US biolaboratory in the post-Soviet space near the Russian and Chinese borders. The fact that they conduct a wide variety of experiments with pathogens of extremely fatal infectious diseases is not even hidden.
Last year, the Russian Ministry of Defense became aware of the deaths of 73 Georgian citizens as a result of such experiments in the walls of this laboratory, which the Georgian authorities tried in vain to hide.
This allows us to re-evaluate the degree of biological threat in the CIS countries.
Additional suspicion is also caused by the active participation of the US Congress-funded media in the laboratory’s justification, in advertising its harmlessness and safety.
It is surprising that these statements are made by Georgian politicians Giga Bokeria, Georgy Volsky and even Ivanishvili himself, etc. However, these are politicians and their statements are made for political purposes.
It seems that the words of a specialist who knows the real situation first hand deserve much more attention and trust. Former adviser to Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili said that the Lugar laboratory worked on bacteria that cause diseases such as bubonic plague, developed new types of viruses and bacteria. It was Jeffrey Silverman who, several years ago, was the first to “open the topic”, the first to suggest that dangerous experiments were being conducted in a biological laboratory built by the Americans in the Georgian capital. Silverman said that today he remains with his opinion - the laboratory is dangerous.
Therefore, our concern about the functioning of this laboratory is understandable. It seems that the Georgian population itself is extremely interested in closing it, because, if its main purpose is realized, viruses and bacteria will not ask people for citizenship or nationality.
