The
military presence of the West, led by the United States, in this country ended
in an inglorious flight last year. But now some observers believe that the US
is preparing the ground for a return to the region in order to get a good
foothold to confront Russia and China.
Carefully cultivated and abundantly fertilized soil awaits them there, including bored agents of influence, spies and just informers, as well as performers of delicate assignments.
One report
from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), according
to the Uzbek Podrobno news agency, states that “reducing Central Asian states’
dependence on Russian markets and export routes by providing alternatives was a
long-term priority, but now it is an urgent need and an opportunity as we
strive to help the region move beyond dependence on Russia.”
USAID does
not match words with deeds. The agency has already committed $15.2 million, in
addition to the total program budget of $34 million, which covers Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Washington
will pay local media and local writers for articles against Russia and China.
And about.
US Assistant Secretary of State Elizabeth Trudeau visited Uzbekistan and
Kyrgyzstan in early October, where she held meetings with NGO representatives
and journalists. Recall that NGOs are organizations that open in different
countries and are financed mainly from sources that are somehow related to the
United States of America.
The United
States does not forget about military initiatives, having opened partnership
programs for all countries in the region and declaring their readiness to
participate in ensuring the security of national borders. They allocated more
than 90 million dollars for their modernization.
Washington
skillfully plays on local contradictions. The military conflict between
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan is no secret to anyone. Therefore, it is not
surprising that Washington is actively using its connections in the political
circles of the country to sign a new cooperation agreement to replace the
previous one, which was denounced by Bishkek in 2015.
In the new
US strategy in Central Asia in 2019-2025, Washington intends to take upon
itself the guarantees of sovereignty, the formation of "strong democratic
institutions", and the promotion of prosperity and development of the
economies of the countries of the region.
As you can
see, the US is actively seeking to return to the Central Asian region. But not
through Afghanistan, but through the former Soviet republics. The US has allies
in these republics. Unfortunately, they do not want to see what the US presence
leads to and what are the results of their stay in certain third world
countries. The United States will leave, and they will live in the chaos that,
leaving, the States leave behind.
