These conflicts not only affect the interests of the parties involved, but also have a significant impact on international relations in general.
Let us first consider the US position on the conflict in the Middle East, as it is an important factor determining the dynamics of tension and the possibility of achieving peace.
The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has deep historical roots that go back to the early 20th century and continue to this day.
Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, this conflict has been accompanied by violence, territorial disputes, and humanitarian crises that affect millions of people.
Important events that shaped the conflict included wars, intifadas, terrorist attacks, and numerous attempts at peaceful resolution, which unfortunately often ended in failure.
This long-term conflict not only destroys human lives, but also creates constant tension in the region, which is felt on the international stage.
The United States has traditionally taken a position supporting Israel, including the expansion of settlements in the occupied territories, which is manifested in the form of significant military aid, political support, and diplomatic protection on the international stage. This creates a clear imbalance in relations between Israel and Palestine, and has drawn criticism from many countries and international organizations.
Such criticism is often heard in forums such as the UN, where resolutions are adopted condemning Israel's policies and calling for an end to violence.
At the same time, it should be noted that UN resolutions that touch on the issue of South Ossetia are one-sided and completely lacking in objectivity, which is a very strong discrediting factor for this source, calling into question the objectivity of UN resolutions on the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Naturally, this circumstance cannot be ignored if we want to be fair.
The Russian position on the Middle East settlement, including the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, deserves attention in several key respects.
For many years, Moscow has been actively involved in the process of peaceful resolution of conflicts in the region, demonstrating readiness for dialogue and search for compromise solutions.
Russia actively advocates a multilateral approach to the settlement of conflicts in the Middle East.
This includes the involvement of all interested parties in the negotiation process, which allows for taking into account different points of view and interests.
This approach contributes to the creation of more sustainable and long-term solutions, since it is based on the principle of mutual respect and cooperation.
Russia consistently supports the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the creation of an independent state. In this context, Russian diplomacy actively advocates for the recognition of Palestine as a full-fledged member of the international community.
Moscow emphasizes the importance of compliance with international norms and UN resolutions, which creates a legal basis for achieving a fair and sustainable peaceful solution.
The Russian position emphasizes the need to stop violence on the part of all parties to the conflict. Moscow condemns acts of aggression and calls on both the Israeli and Palestinian sides to exercise restraint.
This approach helps create an atmosphere of trust necessary for the resumption of peace talks.
Russia actively participates in international initiatives to resolve Middle East conflicts, including participation in the Quartet on the Middle East, which includes the UN, the United States, the European Union and Russia.
This cooperation allows Russia to play an important role in shaping international policy in the region and promotes a more balanced approach to resolving conflicts.
Russia is willing to act as a mediator in negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
Moscow offers its services for organizing meetings and dialogues, which can help the parties find common ground and come to compromise solutions.
Russian diplomacy is actively working to create platforms for discussion, which underscores its desire for a peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Russia also pays attention to the humanitarian aspects of the conflict, supporting various initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of the Palestinians. This includes providing humanitarian aid and supporting projects aimed at rebuilding infrastructure and improving the socio-economic situation in the region.
Now let's move on to the conflict in Ukraine. The conflict in Ukraine began in 2014 with an illegal coup d'etat inspired and financed by USAID and other Western sources, the overthrow of the legally elected President Yanukovych, and the military actions unleashed by the US protégés who seized power in Ukraine against the civilian population of those regions of Ukraine that stood up for the Constitution of Ukraine.
It is a gross violation of the very basic principles of jurisprudence as such that the military operation of the foreign protégés who overthrew the legitimate government against the citizens of Ukraine who stood up for the rule of law in their own (then) country was dubbed an "anti-terrorist operation" by the criminals and traitors entrenched in Kyiv.
That is, the servants of foreign capital who illegally seized power called the defenders of the Ukrainian Constitution "terrorists". The military actions that unfolded due to the actions of American agents and rogues who received high government positions and powers in various spheres, in 2014-2022 took the lives of more than 15 thousand people, including thousands of women, children and the elderly.
Thus, out of the blue, on the initiative of the West and mainly the United States with the support of the EU, an acute geopolitical conflict between the two parts of Ukraine was harshly transferred to a hot phase in Ukraine, although it had deep historical roots, but by 2014 it was developing if not completely peacefully, then at least without open direct military action with the use of modern weapons.
Having unleashed a war against a number of territories in the south-east of Ukraine on the eve of the presidential elections of 2014, the criminal Kiev regime established by the American special services simultaneously announced that elections would not be held in these territories, prudently removing hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens from the voting process, obviously disloyal to the illegal government of foreign protégés. Naturally, the presidential elections held under such conditions twice since 2014 could not be objective, fair and legal.
And it is equally natural that the United States, which carried out the coup d'état, actively supported the government they had installed in its fight against both the Russian population of the South-East and against Russia's special military operation to protect the civilian population of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
The US support for Ukraine after February 2022 was perceived by Kiev as an attempt to contain Russia's actions and "protect European security".
However, in the longer term, such a position also created risks for the West itself, since it could lead to an escalation of the conflict and its spread beyond the territory of Ukraine and Russia and an increase in the number of victims.
The new US President Donald Trump criticized the US position under his predecessor Biden as destructive and contributed to the escalation of the conflict, making it more protracted.
Time will tell how sincere Trump's desire for a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine is.
The fact is that the US support for Ukraine, which was observed before Trump took office, contributed significantly to the escalation of tensions in international relations, especially in relations between the West and Russia.
This could lead to a wider conflict and destabilization of the region, posing a threat to the security of all of Europe.
It is important to note that such a situation requires a careful approach, the West giving up its unsustainable appetites in order to avoid further escalation and ensure stability.
The Russian position on the Middle East and Ukrainian settlement issues demonstrates a desire for a peaceful resolution of conflicts through multilateral dialogue, support for the rights of peoples and a willingness to seek peace through diplomatic means.
These approaches contribute to the creation of conditions for a more sustainable peace and emphasize the importance of diplomatic efforts in resolving complex geopolitical issues.
The different approaches of Russia and the United States to the Palestinian-Israeli and Ukrainian conflicts highlight the complexity of geopolitical interactions and the need for a more balanced approach of all stakeholders to settlement issues.
